Sonic Frontiers introduces its skill tree

Who says transition to the open world necessarily says adjustments. So Sonic Frontiers bends to change, and opens up to new mechanics. So here is the hedgehog inheriting a skill tree, at the heart of the title’s latest trailer.

In order to unlock all this, you will have to collect the fragments released by the enemies or the destructible elements of the decor. Obviously, Sonic will not start with nothing, and will have access from the start to an arsenal of skills in which we will find the traditional Homing Attack or ground load. But to rub shoulders with tougher enemies it will be essential to level up to learn other techniques. Blue and red orbs will also be on the program, because you can never have enough items to collect these days. These will be used to improve Sonic’s statistics, but also to fill his frenzy gauge to return to Phantom Rush.

For the rest, the trailer shows us the classic, such as a ranged attack, a shield breaker or a parry with a timing to respect to block enemy attacks while counter-attacking. All the skills of Sonic Frontiers will be available on November 8 on PC, Switch, and PlayStation and Xbox, whether old or next-gen.
