The famous blue hedgehog SEGA will be back tomorrow in a new 3D opus. Sonic Frontiers intends to evolve the franchise, it will be a title based on the platform, but also on exploration. Waiting to get my hands on it, the English-speaking specialized press delivers its verdict.
The ratings of Sonic Frontiers are quite varied, ranging from very good to very average. The testers point out that exploration is a huge addition for the license and it works well in this semi-open world. The fights are quite fun, especially against the impressive bosses, and the soundtrack is a real success. On the negative side, well, the gameplay is rather rigid, giving rise to frustrating platforming phasesand the title suffers from a certain repetitiveness.
Sonic Frontiers release date is set for November 8, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, you can buy it for €53.99 on Gamesplanet.
