Spotted by a user of Reddit (FahdaadTD), this alleged leaked came from a Taiwanese e-commerce site, which apparently acquired promotional material for Sonic Frontiers before its launch date.
An autumn outing
The product sheet responsible for the leak, which you can see below, would indicate that Sonic Frontiers will be released on November 15.. We can also see small creatures that we could potentially encounter in the game, as well as some familiar faces.
Indeed, we can see new illustrations that show characters from the franchise, including Tails, Knuckles and Amy. It is therefore possible that they will join Sonic in the next game in the series.
As for the little creatures, FahdaadTD says they’re collectible beasties that can be traded for skills for Sonic:
“They are called Chocos, I believe, […] they are found somewhere in the world and they allow certain parts of Sonic’s abilities and techniques to be improved in exchange for the Chocos collected. In one of the gameplay videos, Sonic runs through one and picks it up.»
And a DLC!
The redditor also claims that the leak would talk about an upcoming DLC for Sonic Frontiers. There are no details on the DLC, other than that it is in development. This information is of course to be taken with a grain of salt, since Sega has not yet reacted to the leaks.
Maybe we can learn more during the Gamescom 2022since Geoff Keighley confirmed a few days ago that Sonic Frontiers would make a first appearance on opening night on August 23.
Sonic Frontiers will also be playable at EGX London in September. For now, Sonic Frontiers is scheduled for the end of 2022 on all platforms.
