Sonic the Hedgehog makes a comeback in the compilation Sonic Origins on June 23, 2022. The collection will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. It will bring together the iconic Sonic games of the Mega Drive that are Sonic The Hedgehog 1, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and sonic cd.
Sonic, Tails and Knuckles will race again in remastered versions of iconic levels such as Green Hill Zone or Chemical Plant Zone. Along with revamped graphics, Sonic Origins will feature new features as well as new content and modes.
If a retro-looking Classic mode will of course be available, it will also be possible to play with the Anniversary mode. This will allow you to enjoy the game in full screen without having to worry about your remaining lives since they will be unlimited. A mission system will also be part of it, and will allow you to collect medallions. These will be used, through the Museum, to unlock special levels, challenges and new content. Enough to allow those nostalgic for the license as well as those who are discovering it to fully enjoy the adventures of the little blue hedgehog.
