Sonic Prime: the Netflix series shows itself briefly on video

Projects are multiplying for the famous blue hedgehog from SEGA. This time, the Japanese publisher has teamed up with the American streaming giant netflix with the aim of producing a whole new series sonic.

After the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 in the cinema, and while waiting for the arrival of the compilation Sonic Origins and of Sonic Frontiers on the side of video games, Netflix offers us a quick overview of the animated series that will tumble on its platform this year. The announcement of the project dates back to February 2022, but the adaptation had still not shown up until today.


A hedgehog that starts on a quarter turn

It is via the promotional video above that we can admire the first extracts from the series Sonic Prime. SEGA’s mascot shows up at minute 1:49 before abruptly disappearing. For the moment, we will have to content ourselves with this meager overview. As of now, no specific release date has been announced by Netflix.

All we know is that Sonic Prime should be entitled to 24 episodes. The series will tell a journey of self-discovery and redemption for this dear hedgehog. Moreover, ” a strange new multiverse will be at the heart of the plot.
