It is on the occasion of Summer Game Fest Live in June that SEGA unveiled Sonic Superstarsa new episode taking up the classic formula of the games with the blue hedgehog, but with a visual dressing all in 3D and local 4-player cooperation making us embody sonic, Tails, Knuckles And Amy Rose. Since then, a fun collaboration with LEGO was unveiled, as well as a very successful animated introductory cinematic. We knew that the publisher would be present in Cologne with a playable version of the game and that it would appear during the gamescom Opening Night Live 2023. So what’s up ?
To start, Sonic Superstars will launch this fall on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam And Epic Games Store), since it makes an appointment with the players on Tuesday, October 17. The new trailer released during the event also emphasized the multiplayer game, whether in cooperation promising a hell of a visual delirium on the screen or via A Battle Mode which will let us customize a robotic avatar before facing our comrades in split screen.
