The Sonic games are legendary, but the blue hedgehog is also doing well in the cinema – so well that the third film is already in the works. In the meantime there is also a start date for it, but you have to be patient for a while.
Sonic The Hedgehog was one of the last Hollywood hits before the first Corona lockdown and attracted around 365,000 viewers to German cinemas at the time. With the second film, the number is lower with around 225,000 fans, but it was still a success – the third film is now in the works.
Sonic The Hedgehog 3: The cinema release date is now known
Already at the beginning of the year, Paramount Pictures and SEGA announced that the fast-moving hedgehog would get another film with Sonic The Hedgehog 3. There is not much information about this yet, but at least the official theatrical release has been announced. However, you have to be patient here, because first on December 20, 2024 the time has come – just in time for Christmas (Source: Twitter).

Sonic The Hedgehog 3: Pass the time with a series about Knuckles
There are still more than two years to go until the third film about the popular hedgehog, but before that you can still find out about one Live action series with Knuckles be happy. According to director Jeff Fowler, Knuckles is a wonderful character who offers so many different ways to approach the series, so there doesn’t seem to be a lack of material and ideas here.
There is no exact start date here yet, but the series should 2023 on the Paramount+ streaming service start and thus serve as a bridging until it’s that time again on the big screen. If that’s not enough for you, you still have plenty of games in which you can control the fastest hedgehog of all time through his adventures.
