In the film, the nimble blue hedgehog Sonic has to find his way around his new home on Planet Earth and remain undetected. The film shows about "Westworld" star James Marsden (46) as policeman Tom and comedy star Jim Carrey (58, "Dumb and Dumber") as Sonic's crazy arch enemy Dr. Robotnik.

YouTuber Julien Bam (31) lends his voice to the blue hedgehog in the German version. When the first trailer was released, the film had failed many fans: Paramount reacted to it, revised the design and postponed the theatrical release – with success.
