Sony: Project Spartacus appears to be getting closer, new pricing details revealed

The existence of the project Spartacus at Sony is now almost no longer in doubt, as the rumors seem to be becoming clearer from week to week. The infamous Xbox Game Pass “competitor” for PlayStation is still unclear at this time, but some generally reliable insiders have recently given more information around the project, starting with the prices it could display, to take with it. tweezers.

Three levels, three prices

It’s the journalist again Jeff Grubb, relayed by VGC, which gives more details on the structure of the subscription service. We already knew that Spartacus would a priori offer three layers of subscriptions. Grubb says the service could keep the PlayStation Plus name, while obliterating PlayStation Now. The three levels would then respond to the name of Essential, Extra and Premium.

For the Essential pack, you would have to pay 10 dollars (to see if it will be 10 euros with us), and would be neither more nor less than the PS Plus that we know todaywith free games every month and the ability to play online.

The Extra offer, at 13 dollars, will allow you to have access to nearly 300 games to download. Grubb then specifies that it would be the downloadable library of PS Now, the one that does not necessarily require cloud gaming.

The Premium pack, displayed at $16, would be a combination of the current PS Plus and PS Nowwith access to “classic” games, so games ranging from PS1 to PS3.

We are now waiting for a confirmation from Sony, which could come in the next few weeks if all this is true.
