Sony seems to have deactivated subscription rollups on the sidelines of the launch of its new PS Plus

With the change made to the Playstation Plusit is sometimes difficult to understand how current subscriptions, which have been paid in advance and which will extend after the implementation of the new system on June 22, will continue. sony however, tried to reassure its subscribers by stating that those who already have a yearly subscription, as on PS Now, could go directly to the highest level of PS Plus at no additional cost. Some then saw it as an opportunity to earn a few euros, by buying cards now that are cheaper than the next rates in force, but Sony seems to limit the practice.

The technique falls apart

PushSquare reports that several users on Resetera complain that the subscription accumulation function for PS Plus and PS Now (in particular via the purchase of prepaid cards) is no longer active. It would seem then that some people can no longer accumulate subscriptions, in order to save on the next PS Plus (whose last level is more expensive).

PlayStation customer service then responded that this feature was indeed disabled at this time.and then indicates that it’s only temporaryand that additional information will be given in the coming days.

We will therefore wait a little longer to find out more, but it is possible that this technique, which saved a few euros before the launch of the new PS Plus, is no longer valid, at least for everyone.
