Sony State of Play: information on the PlayStation VR2

The State of Play show is a way for Sony to regularly take stock of the progress of the various projects that revolve around the PlayStation.

Last March, Sony had exceptionally held two events, a first focused on third-party publishers (and more particularly Japanese partners), and a second dedicated to the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy, systematically specifying that there would be no question of PS VR2 during events.

This time, that’s it, the PS VR2 will appear during event announcements. In addition to having planned “tempting” announcements from third-party publishers, the public should be entitled to a preview of several games in development on Sony’s next virtual reality headset.

With Horizon Call of the Mountain having been revealed in January, we could be entitled to new images of the progress of the game or even to have a glimpse of another of the 20 major games planned for the launch.

On the side of third-party publishers, we could have information about the Final Fantasy universe given that an FF XVI trailer has been made and that FF VII is celebrating its 25th anniversary (producer Yoshinori Kitase had said that more than information would be given in June).

Other titles like Star Ocean: The Divine Force or Street Fighter 6 could make an appearance, but it’s hard with Sony to know what to really expect.

The event can be followed live from the video available at the top of the article. See you on Thursday, June 2 at 11 p.m. to find out more.
