Headphones can do that

One of the most important points, along with active noise canceling, is probably the sound quality. Of course, this point also depends on individual preferences.

However, Sony does a lot to ensure a clear sound and lists some features of the headphones in a press release. With DSEE Extreme, Edge-AI, High-Resolution Audio Wireless, the Bluetooth codec LDAC, adjustment of the sound fields to your head movements or the smartphone display and also the specially designed audio driver “Dynamic Driver X”, the headphones also have to comply with Sony Don’t necessarily hide standards.

There are also some features designed to improve the quality of the calls. Three microphones on each side and two proprietary processors are responsible for active noise cancellation. In addition, the sound driver provides cancellation waves. The components should therefore ensure that you can block out ambient noise at both high and low frequencies if you wish. A test will show how well this works. Sony themselves say they have the best noise-cancelling headphones, at least as measured by the guidelines of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association.

You can pair the headphones with Android devices with a tap of your finger. In addition, the headphones are able to pair with two Bluetooth devices at the same time.

Auto Play, which is currently in beta, lets you set when you want music to play, such as when you put on your headphones. The headphones give you audio notifications and work with music streaming service providers Spotify, Apple Music and Tedel.

Sony states that, in contrast to its predecessor, it has reduced the weight by 20 percent and the size by 15 percent.

Sony specifies a battery life of eight hours for the WF-1000XM5. There is an additional 16 hours of runtime in the case. There is also the option to charge the headphones in three minutes and thus get an hour of runtime. Charging with the Qi standard is also possible. The latter even works with smartphones that have Qi technology with battery share.
