This news lets fans of Sonya Kraus, 49, breathe a sigh of relief: The popular TV face is allowed to end his chemotherapy after several months. In an interview with “Bild” she reveals how she perceives this milestone.

Sonya Kraus: She is doing “outrageously well”

At the beginning of the year, the otherwise cheerful Sonya Kraus shocked her fans: During a routine examination, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. A few difficult months followed, which the former model seems to have put away well. In an interview with “Bild” she now reveals how she is doing after completing the treatment: “I’m outrageously fine. Thank you, dear universe! I’m occasionally a little gaga in my head, doctors call it chemo-brain, bad tongues claim , that’s normal for me [sic]”, jokes the 49-year-old.

Has cancer changed her?

While many people fall into a hole after such a diagnosis, exactly the opposite seems to have happened to Sonya: “Actually, I’ve always been pretty relaxed, but now? I’m so chilled with everything! You just don’t take nonsense anymore so serious. Also, I feel mentally stronger than ever.” One thing helped her above all – her motto: “‘Think pink!’ is simply my motto that catapults me through every valley back to the summit [sic].”

Sonya would also recommend not hanging your head to other affected people: “It is how it is! So let’s make the best of it. Fear eats away at the soul and a horror show in your head robs you of your strength. So it doesn’t help at all!” Rather, one should concentrate on the positive aspects in life – that acts like a real booster on one’s own psyche.

rehab? Not for Sonya

Anyone who thinks that Sonya would take it easy after completing her chemotherapy is wrong. Because instead of recovering in rehab and processing the last few months, the presenter has other plans: “I’m going to the Burning Man Festival in the USA.” But before it starts, the 49-year-old first enjoys the sun in southern France, where she is currently lets the soul dangle.
