Sophia Loren: Back in front of the camera for a Netflix film

Netflix lures Sophia Loren back in front of the camera. After a decade, the former Hollywood star can be seen again in a feature film.

The Italian Oscar winner Sophia Loren (86, "And yet they live") is celebrating a comeback as an actress in a new film in a few weeks. "The Life Ahead" is her first full-fledged feature film in a decade, as the industry magazine "Deadline" reports.

Directed by her son Edoardo Ponti (47). It is the third collaboration between the two. The film is based on the novel "You have life ahead of you" by the French writer Romain Gary (1914-1980). Loren will take on the role of Madame Rosa in the film adaptation. The actress is a fan of the book, she explains in an interview with the industry magazine. "When my son suggested the role to me, it was like a dream come true." You didn't have to think long about accepting the role.

The film is scheduled to be shown on Netflix from November 13th.
