The once most successful fitness influencer in Germany had unsubscribed from social media almost overnight and went into hiding. Now she’s back. And how! In her book “Come back stronger” and now also in our podcast GLOSSIP, the 26-year-old explains why her time off had very emotional reasons – and what her eating disorder had to do with it.

Episode 4: “My manic binge eating was hell for me”

Sophia Thiel wants to encourage – and destigmatize the issue of mental health and eating disorders. She herself would have wished for more education and mindfulness at a young age, as she tells in our current episode GLOSSIP. For her, professional help was “the very last resort, I noticed that everything was going down the drain,” admits Sophia. Because: At some point, in front of friends, she no longer dared to eat anything. “I was afraid of getting stupid comments,” says Thiel. “Then the first secret binge eating began.” How it went after that, Sophia reveals in the podcast.
