Sophia Thomalla will meet Armin Laschet for a talk on Facebook. As a CDU member, she wants to be “taught better”.
So far, she has not been a particular fan of his, but she would like to be taught better: presenter and model Sophia Thomalla (31) has in an Instagram post announced that she would meet CDU boss and Chancellor candidate Armin Laschet (60).
“Laschet meets Sophia Thomalla” can be seen live on Facebook this Friday, June 25th at 7pm. The two meet in person in Düsseldorf, like the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia announced, which the event will then also make available as a stream.

Sophia Thomalla has been a member of the CDU since 2012. On Instagram, she speaks openly about her attitude to the party. After the election of NRW Prime Minister Armin Laschet as chairman in mid-January 2021, she wrote in a post: “As a CDU member, I am satisfied, but Merz was my real favorite. His sovereign manner, his clear statements and ideas make me think: I might like to see an economics minister Merz.”
