The festival in Locarno presents an all-male line-up. What follows: an outburst of anger from Sophie Hunger.
ha.
It is not Sophie Hunger’s first feminist declaration of war, but a particularly angry one: “Women, forget the cultivated discussion, the humble waiting for participation,” writes the singer and songwriter on Twitter on Wednesday.
The reason for the outrage is the Moon & Stars program in Locarno: the renowned festival is presenting an all-male line-up for the July edition, “including among the newcomers”, as Hunger writes on Twitter.

The Swiss singer locates “active exclusion” in it: It cannot be a mistake, since such a program selection takes months. It is possible that there are women among the special guests, but of course these names are not known. The festival and the attacked sponsors, including Migros, have not yet reacted to the attack on Twitter. A written request to the Moon & Stars has also remained unanswered.
