Shocking news from Sophie Kinsella: The “Shopaholic” author makes her cancer diagnosis public.

The British author Sophie Kinsella (54) reports to her fans and followers with sad news: the author of the popular “Shopaholic” book series has been found to have a malignant brain tumor. On Instagram she reports in detail about her diagnosis, which she received in 2022.

Sophie Kinsella is still being treated

However, until now she has lacked the strength to announce this publicly, says Kinsella. Specifically, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, “a form of aggressive brain cancer.” The family had to deal with that first. She had already had a successful operation and then had to undergo radiation and chemotherapy. Kinsella is currently still being treated in a clinic in London.

“At the moment everything is stable and I generally feel very good, although I am very tired and my memory is even worse than before,” she continues. She is “so grateful” to her family and friends, the doctors and nurses, as well as her readers “for their constant support.”

Finally, she wanted to encourage all those who are also “suffering from some form of cancer” and send them her “love and best wishes.” “Receiving a serious diagnosis can feel very lonely and scary, and the support and care of those around you means more than words can express.” Kinsella wants to get back in touch soon.
