She calls Taylor Swift her “absolute hero”

“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner was able to count on the support of singer Taylor Swift in her most difficult hour.
In September 2023 it became public that “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner (28) and singer Joe Jonas (34) were divorcing. In the following months, the actress was often seen alongside superstar Taylor Swift (34). Turner now has information about the special bond between the two women in a new interview with British Vogue. Accordingly, Swift made her home available to her two children and herself immediately after the separation became known.

Turner vividly describes to Vogue how difficult the days and weeks immediately after her divorce became known were for her. “Those were the worst days of my life,” the 28-year-old remembers back then. Due to filming in England, which she was contractually obliged to do, she was unable to visit her children. “And then all these articles came out…”.
“I mean, it’s unbelievable how many people just make something up and put it out there based on a picture,” Turner continues, adding, “There were days where I didn’t know if I could do it .”
After filming for the gangster series “Joan” was completed, the former actress of Sansa Stark returned to the USA – and at this point the “Cruel Summer” singer proved to be of great help.
Because Turner and her two small daughters Willa (4) and Delphine (1) had no place of their own after the separation, whereupon singer Swift offered her the use of her own New York apartment for free. “Taylor was an absolute hero for me this year,” says the actress. She “took my children and I in and gave us a home and a safe place. She truly has a heart of gold.”
It’s no surprise that Turner and Swift, who was in a relationship with Joe Jonas for a few months in 2008, then presented themselves in public as best friends. In the months following Turner’s split from Jonas, they repeatedly went out with friends like Gigi Hadid, 29, Selena Gomez, 31, Blake Lively, 36, and Sabrina Carpenter, 25. Turner also attended Kansas City Chiefs games and cheered on Swift’s new partner Travis Kelce (34), who plays for the NFL team.
