Sopra Steria appoints new CEO and announces that it has exceeded its 2021 targets

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) – IT services company Sopra Steria announced on Wednesday the appointment of Cyril Malargé as chief executive officer from March 1 and also indicated that it had exceeded its targets for its 2021 fiscal year.

Cyril Malargé will succeed Vincent Paris who wished to be relieved of his duties for personal and family reasons, the company said in a press release.

Like Vincent Paris, he has spent most of his career at Sopra Steria. He has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2015 and Group Chief Operating Officer for 18 months.

Sopra Steria has indicated that it has “largely achieved” its financial objectives for the past year. According to an estimate of the results before consolidation and audit of the accounts, organic growth in turnover reached between 6.3% and 6.4% in 2021, while the group was counting on growth greater than or equal to 6%.

The operating margin on activity increased by more than one point to 8.1%, above the range of 7.7% to 8% previously indicated. The net operating cash flow was above 250 million euros against a target of 150 to 200 million euros.

Sopra Steria will publish its audited results on February 24.
