Sound optimizer for Netflix & Co.: audio tool for streaming

Equalizer APO is a system-wide equalizer for Windows. During installation, you can specifically select the devices for which the software is to be installed. A Windows restart is then required. APO stands for Audio Processing Object, an audio engine that has been built into Windows for many years and on which the equalizer is based. In principle, you are retrofitting lean software that makes the sound options of Windows graphically accessible.

Fire up the Equalizer APO configuration editor and start music or your Netflix series. For a first test run, turn on the preamp or play around with the graphic equalizer. The “15 Band” setting is absolutely sufficient here, but the software also allows finer tuning. Simply drag the sliders with the mouse.

Each configuration can be saved, for example one for live music, for rock, film or games. Even more options open up to you via the small green plus sign. You can then select individual devices or channels or play with filters and plugins.
