South-West high-speed lines on track


LGV financing companies linking Bordeaux, Toulouse and Dax, and Montpellier to Perpignan have been created.

The Southwest will have the TGV. An important step has just been taken for the construction of high-speed lines (LGV) between Bordeaux, Toulouse and Dax on one side, and between Montpellier and Perpignan on the other. On Wednesday March 2, the government adopted the ordinances for the creation of the Société du grand projet du Sud-Ouest (GPSO) and the Société de la ligne nouvelle Montpellier-Perpignan. These local public establishments will carry the contribution of the local authorities which undertake to finance 40% of the sites, an amount never reached until now.
