Southeast Styria – truck overtaken despite ban: crash with 2 injured

Despite the ban on overtaking, a 56-year-old tried to overtake a tractor-trailer on Wednesday afternoon in Kirchberg an der Raab (Southeast Styria)! She collided with a turning car and landed 130 meters after the scene of the accident in the ditch. The result: two injured, three demolished vehicles.

At around 12.35 p.m., the 56-year-old Südoststeirein overtook the truck on Berndorferstrasse, which was driven by a 39-year-old Leibnitzer. She collided with the car of a 55-year-old who was just turning onto the main road.

The 55-year-old’s car was thrown to the side, while that of the 56-year-old was pushed against the truck. She overtook the tractor-trailer anyway and, according to the police, only came to a standstill after 130 meters in the ditch. Both women were admitted to Feldbach Hospital with injuries, the truck driver was uninjured. In view of a series of accidents, the Berndorf fire brigade asks again urgently on Facebook to observe the overtaking ban!
