(Reuters) – Ratings agency S&P Global on Friday downgraded France’s outlook to “negative” from “stable” previously due to growing risks to public finances and the potential fiscal consequences.

For S&P, the downgrading of the outlook comes in a context of already high public debt, risk regarding the implementation of the structural reform program, an overall economic slowdown and the tightening of the Bank’s monetary policy. Central European.

At the same time, the rating agency confirmed the country’s sovereign debt rating at “AA/A-1+”.

Rating agency Moody’s confirmed France’s “AA2” rating, with a “stable” outlook.
