SpaceX: Elon Musk wants to create a fully autonomous city on Mars within 20 years

If the report between Elon Musk and the space conquest dates back to yesterday, the boss of SpaceX thinks that Man will be able to colonize Mars within 20 years. He affirms that the city thus created will be completely autonomous and that a new civilization will thus be able to prosper on the planet located 54.6 million km from the Earth.

Elon Musk evoked it a few months ago: within ten years, Humanity will fly away for Mars. The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX still firmly believes in it and even explains thata civilization will be established within twenty years which will pass after the arrival of Man on the red planet.

More recently, Elon Musk explained that the number of inhabitants on the red planet should grow very quickly. “20 or 30 years after the first human landing and according to an exponential growth in the number of launches, this supposes a dispatch of 100,000 people at each launch and approximately 1 million people in total.”

Elon Musk wants to colonize Mars and build a self-sufficient city

The Tesla Owners Silicon Valley group (which does not belong to the company, it is simply a “club of enthusiasts”) posted a tweet this Sunday, August 14, 2022 in which Elon Musk’s space conquest project is put forward. On one of the two photos that adorn the tweet and which dates from 2002, we see the billionaire entrepreneur dancing and playing maracas, surrounded by a few employees and musicians. In the second photo, 20 years later, another photo shows the takeoff of a SpaceX rocket.

The group of fans then inquires about the progress of the project. To which Elon Musk responds: “I hope there will be a self-sufficient city on Mars within 20 years!“. If Elon Musk recently estimated that man could fly to Mars within 10 years and that 20 or 30 years would be enough for him to colonize the planet, it seems that he is now shortening the deadlines.

Elon Musk, who firmly believes in his project, continues to talk very regularly about expeditions to the red planet. Thus, the richest man on the planet also tweeted a photo on which we see a construction site and a gigantic apparatus. Elon Musk explains that “it will be on Mars one day”.
