Spain: HICP inflation increased by 3.2% year-on-year in March


March 27 (Reuters) – Inflation harmonized with European standards increased by 3.2% in Spain year on year in March, after an increase of 2.9% in February, according to preliminary data published on Wednesday by the National Institute of statistics (INE).

Despite this increase, inflation remained slightly below the 3.3% forecast by analysts polled by Reuters.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile prices for unprocessed food and energy, rose 3.3% year-on-year in March, a slowdown from February’s 3.5% rise. , according to the INE.
