We love sparkling eyes
Is glitter also suitable for everyday use? Absolutely!
There are make-up trends that we initially avoid. The reason: too daring, not suitable for everyday use. We’ll tell you here why Sparkling Eyes aren’t one of them.
When we think of glamor and glitter, we also think of red carpets, a flurry of flashbulbs and celebrities who enchant in opulent gowns and gorgeous make-up. There is usually no parallel to everyday life – or is there? We find: Yes! More and more trends can be integrated – slightly modified – into our everyday life. Sparkling Eyes set a good example here.
Make-up trend: what are sparkling eyes?
“Sparkling Eyes” is the English term for sparkling eye make-up. Glitter particles in the form of liquid or powdery eye shadow are applied to the eye. Sparkling sequin stickers are also applied around the eye for a bit more sparkle.
who wears it
We first saw the trend on the runway of luxury label Etro. Here the models were sent down the catwalk with glowing face gems. The rest of the makeup is plain and simple, allowing the focus to be on the eyes. Actress Emma Watson and TikTok star Addison Rae also love the glitter look, and show it off on Instagram or on the red carpet.
Sparkling eyes in everyday life: Here’s how!
The most important rule of how Sparkling Eyes work in everyday life is the right dose. For the time being, concentrate only on the eyes when applying make-up and only gently emphasize cheeks and lips. Also, only use the glitter itself to accentuate. The movable lid and the inner corners of the eyes are particularly suitable. This lets your gaze shine and opens your eyes.
When applying, it is best to use liquid eyeshadow, which is easier to use than loose glitter powder, for example. To ensure that the glitter only goes (and stays) where it should, always use a base. Important: Face Gems hold best on dry skin. Secure with a few drops of eyelash glue for extra hold.
Remove make-up from Sparkling Eyes
Glitter particles can often not be removed as quickly as normal make-up. In preparation you should use make-up remover wipes, they remove the first layer. After that, an oil-based cleansing gel dipped in a cotton pad helps – it is best to leave it on the skin for a short time and then wipe it off.
