The Spice Girls were on a major reunion tour in 2019. Mel C now raises hopes for an early stage comeback of the girl group.

The Spice Girls went on their sold-out “Spice World” reunion tour through Great Britain and Ireland in 2019. Since then, fans have been waiting for the 90s girl group to make a comeback on stage. Mel C (47) has now revealed that the bandmates are talking about it. The past tour was “stunning,” she said on the program “Good Morning Britain”. “It was so much better than we could ever have dreamed of. We would be absolutely stupid if we didn’t want to do this again.”

According to Mel C, the women would “love” to perform in the UK again. The singer also brought concerts in distant countries into play. “There are areas that we as a live band never got into.” At the moment, however, it is “difficult to plan firmly” because of the corona pandemic. “I always push and we always talk,” continued the 47-year-old. She did not reveal which Spice Girls the conversations were with. Only Mel B (46), Emma Bunton (45), Geri Horner (48) and Mel C were represented on the 2019 tour – Victoria Beckham (47) was absent.

Are you also planning a Spice Girls film?

Allegedly the Spice Girls are planning another project: 25 years after the Spice Girls film “Spice World” there should be a sequel, as “The Sun” reported in early May. The girl group is supposed to work with a “well-known screenwriter”. Victoria Beckham could also be involved. “Spice World” was released in 1997 – so the 25th anniversary is on the agenda in 2022.
