The new "Spider-Man" flick could unite bad guys and spider men from three generations. Alfred Molina is also there.
Alfred Molina (67) will allegedly return to his role as Dr. in the next "Spider-Man" movie with Tom Holland (24). Otto Octavius alias Doc Ock hatch. This is what "The Hollywood Reporter" reports. The scientist with the four artificial arms was seen as a supervillain in Sam Raimi's (61) film "Spider-Man 2" from 2004. Tobey Maguire (45) was in the superhero lead at the time.
Should Molina actually appear in Tom Holland's next flick as a former opponent of Maguire, three generations of "Spider-Man" films could be united. Jamie Foxx, 52, is slated to return as the villain Electro after starring in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro" in 2014, in which Andrew Garfield (37) was the hero.
All spider men united?
And not just the bad guys should come back. There is another rumor that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield themselves could also appear in the new Holland film. So, like in the animated film "Spider-Man: A New Universe", will there be multiple spider men? Rumor has it that Garfield and Maguire could show up to help Holland's "Spider-Man" end up fighting mutual enemies. At least that's what the "Fandomwire" site reported. Tobey Maguire was in three films as Peter Parker from 2002 to 2007. Andrew Garfield played the role of the superhero in "The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro" (2014).
The next "Spider-Man" flick will be the third after "Homecoming" (2017) and "Far From Home" (2019) in which Tom Holland is Peter Parker. He was also seen as a spider man in other Marvel films such as "The First Avenger" or the "Avengers" strip. The new "Spider-Man" is announced for the end of 2021. In "Variety" it was said that Benedict Cumberbatch (44) should also get an appearance as Doctor Strange.
