Spider-Man 3: Jamie Foxx may return as Electro

Will Jamie Foxx make life difficult again as the villain of Electro "Spider-Man"? The chances are obviously not bad.

The new "Spider-Man" movie apparently has a big surprise in store for the fans. Jamie Foxx (52), who starred as the villain Electro in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro" (2014) with Andrew Garfield (37) in the lead role, could return. He is in the crucial talks to slip into the role again for the latest "Spider-Man" adventure with Tom Holland (24), reports "The Hollywood Reporter".

Jon Watts (39), who already directed Tom Holland's "Spider-Man" films "Homecoming" (2017) "Far From Home" (2019), will also direct part three, which is again from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures . The strip is announced for the end of 2021, although numerous film releases could still be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Old and new films merge

In addition to Tom Holland, other stars from the two predecessors should also be back, including Zendaya (24), Marisa Tomei (55), Jacob Batalon (23) and Tony Revolori (24). The return of Jamie Foxx as electro means a further amalgamation of the previous "Spider-Man" films with the current Holland series, writes "The Hollywood Reporter". In "Far From Home" J.K. Simmons (65) as J. Jonah Jameson, the character he played in the "Spider-Man" trilogy with Tobey Maguire (45).
