Spider-Man 3: will Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield show up?

Is there more than just one Spider-Man in the next movie? Rumor has it that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield could be there.

There are already numerous rumors surrounding the next "Spider-Man" film. One that is now causing a stir: Tobey Maguire (45) and Andrew Garfield (37) could allegedly appear in the flick. So, like in the animated film "Spider-Man: A New Universe", will multiple spider men appear? Tobey Maguire was in three films as Peter Parker from 2002 to 2007. Andrew Garfield played the role of the superhero in "The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro" (2014).

The next "Spider-Man" flick will be the third after "Homecoming" (2017) and "Far From Home" (2019) in which Tom Holland (24) is Peter Parker. He was also seen as a spider man in other Marvel films such as "The First Avenger" or the "Avengers" strip. The new "Spider-Man" has been announced for the end of 2021, although numerous film releases could still be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch should also be there

Rumor has it that Garfield and Maguire could show up to help Holland's "Spider-Man" end up fighting mutual enemies. At least that's what the "Fandomwire" site reports. An old friend who could also reappear is Jamie Foxx (52), who starred as the villain Electro in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro". "The Hollywood Reporter" recently reported that he was in the crucial talks to slip into the role again for the latest "Spider-Man" adventure.

"Variety" also said that Benedict Cumberbatch (44) should also get an appearance as Doctor Strange in the new "Spider-Man" film. If all the rumors about the superhero flick come true, the fans can look forward to a great spectacle.
