“Spider-Man 4”: Tom Holland would always be there

The role of Spider-Man made Tom Holland, 27, world famous and the British actor will probably never forget it. After three of his own “Spider-Man” films and further appearances as a Marvel superhero, he would like to return to the screen as Peter Parker and is involved in the development of the new material from an early stage.

Tom Holland wants to “do the right thing”

When asked about planned projects and a possible return as Spider-Man, Holland says the industry portal “Deadline”how important the role is to him. “The simple answer is that I will always want to make ‘Spider-Man’ films. […] Yes, I will always want to do more,” says the Brit. He owes his life and career to the character.

However, the “complicated answer” is that the team has to approach the material carefully so as not to repeat themselves. According to him, “the best in the business” are working on any kind of story. However, until the right approach is found, “we have to protect a legacy”. The third film was so special that everyone involved had to make sure “that we do the right thing.”

Holland explains that it was the first time for him to be involved in this creative process so early after “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. He watches and learns. For him, this is “a really fun phase. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we don’t do too much of the same things.”

“Spider-Man 4” is apparently still in a very early stage of development. After the great success of the previous series, it is probably no wonder that the story should be continued. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” had one of the best theatrical releases ever in the USA at the end of 2021. In the first weekend alone, the blockbuster grossed around $260 million.
