Spider-Man No Way Home: a long version re-release! With what duration?

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in US theaters in September in an extended version.

Not content with having garnered 1.9 billion dollars at the international box office, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be back in theaters in September! Jon Watts’ film comes out in a long version titled Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version.

Spider-Men Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield announced the news in a video posted to the film’s Twitter account.

“You wanted more Spidey and you’ll get it! Spider-Man: No Way Home The More Fun Stuff Version hits theaters in the US and Canada on September 2! More countries to be announced soon!”

The film will therefore be released on September 2 in American and Canadian theaters and should also be released in other countries. Contacted by us, Sony France has not yet responded, but given the success of the feature film (more than 7 million spectators in France) there is a good chance that “the funniest version” (translation of the sub -title The More Fun Stuff Version.) was released in French cinemas.

It’s unclear exactly what will be added to the film, but there should be an additional 15 minutes of footage. Many scenes from Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man adventure were cut due to its already substantial 2:28 running time.

We imagine that The More Fun Stuff Version will feature more sequences between the 3 spider-men, and several cameos cut from the final cut.

A concept art revealed for example that the character of America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) was to appear in No Way Home. Now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is out, the heroine may well be back in the extended version of No Way Home.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, the friendly neighborhood hero is exposed and can no longer separate his normal life from his heavy superhero responsibilities. When he asks Doctor Strange for help, the stakes get even more dangerous, forcing him to figure out what being Spider-Man truly means.

A great way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the superhero created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1962, while waiting to learn more about a fourth part.

As a reminder, as early as December 2021, Kevin Feige revealed that he was actively working with Sony producer Amy Pascal to develop a new Spider-Man story.
