In the new trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, past Spider-Man universes and various heroes and villains come together.

The first long trailer for the new “Spider-Man” movie was released on Tuesday evening – and it’s sure to be one of the most successful trailers of the year. The sequel to “Spider-Man: Far From Home” from 2019 brings together a wide variety of characters from previous films in the Multiverse.

Specifically, Tom Hollands (25) Peter Parker has to deal with villains from different universes in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” after he wants to undo the revelation of his identity. After all, he has help, for example from Benedict Cumberbatch (45) alias Doctor Strange.

Reunion with old friends

Some of these villains can’t believe it either, like Alfred Molinas (68) Doc Ock, who says skeptically: “You are not Peter Parker.” Old friends like Jamie Foxx ‘(53) Electro, Thomas Haden Churchs (61) Sandman and Willem Dafoes (66) Green Goblin can also be seen.

Spider-Man’s big “Love Interest” is also back: Zendaya (25) alias Michelle “MJ” Jones, who at one point in the film has to be rescued by Spider-Man in free fall from a tall building. The trailer does not reveal the big question of whether other Spider-Men like Tobey Maguire (46) or Andrew Garfield (38) will also make an appearance.

“Brutal Story”

Holland said in a recent interviewthat the fans are not ready for the “brutal story” the film tells. “What is really going to surprise people is that this movie isn’t fun. It’s dark and sad and it will really touch you.”

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” starts in cinemas in Germany on December 15th.
