(CercleFinance.com) – Ekinops announces that its Ekinops360 optical transport solution has been integrated into the LyRES metropolitan network (Lyon Research and Higher Education) in order to offer ultra-secure broadband connections to administrative staff, teachers, researchers and students at 22 establishments spread over 50 interconnected sites in the Lyon region.
Ekinops was selected by SPIE ICS, a digital services subsidiary of the SPIE group, tasked by LyRES with upgrading its network to meet the current and future challenges of the digital development of its universities and research establishments.
According to Ekinops, SPIE ICS has set up, via the Ekinops365 solution, a network offering average speeds of 100 Gbps (Gigabit per second) and peaks of several hundred Gbps in certain areas.
