Spiral presents its universe through a commented gameplay trailer

Getting old and ending up gradually forgetting our memories can be very scary, but it’s a theme that inspired the Folklore Games to create Spirala narrative game that deals with this issue from the angle of hope and the quest for appeasement.

The Montreal studio took advantage of the AG French Direct to describe a bit the atmosphere and the progress of the project via a commented trailer.

Struggle to remember

Spiral traces the story of Bernard, suffering from cognitive degeneration, an old man who wishes to live one last time the most significant memories of his life. This story will be broken down into different phases, the first of which focuses on Bernard’s family, while the second will focus more on his friends.

The adventure will bring us back to life about twenty memories ranging from his earliest childhood, when we meet him, through a progression punctuated by the exploration of areas materialized by Bernard’s memory.

Spiral foresees a release window set at 2023 on PC and has a demo on Steam delivering a glimpse of its universe.
