The last Nintendo Direct, that of August 10, essentially centered on Splatoon 3, made it possible to learn more about the title. Moreover, as a reminder, a demo version, entitled Splatoon 3: Splatfest World Premiere, will be available at the end of this month. Also, following the event, a new article has been shared on the game’s official website.
Summarizing the new things introduced in Splatoon 3, and more specifically regarding the Splatlands region, this article also indicates that Splatoon 2 players will be able to recover bonuses and rewards by transferring their save to the third opus, upon its official release. According to the information shared, they will then be able to unlock the following elements:
- 3 “Gold Sheldon Licenses”, to be exchanged for weapons (does not take player level into account).
- Access to Anarchy Battles, from the start (does not take player level into account).
- Obtained a higher rank, depending on the one unlocked in Splatoon 2.
- Access to matches against players, from Splatoon 2, of a similar level.
Note that to transfer their save to Splatoon 3, players must log in with the same account used to play Splatoon 2. And it is only possible to transfer them once per Nintendo account.
As a reminder, Splatoon 3 arrives exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 9th. Finally, note that Splatoon 3 amiibo figurines should arrive at the end of 2022.
