Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is apparently causing the corona virus more problems than hoped: A new test of the five-time world footballer from Italian champions Juventus Turin is said to have been positive again, according to media reports. Neither Ronaldo, who apparently still shows no symptoms of the Covid 19 disease, nor his club have confirmed the reports so far.

Ronaldo's infection was detected on Tuesday last week (October 13th) by a test during his stay with the Portuguese national team. Originally, Ronaldo was likely to have promised himself that his general quarantine would be lifted from the latest test.

Despite the alleged damper, Ronaldo can still hope for his Champions League season debut on Wednesday against FC Barcelona and his great personal rival Lionel Messi. According to the regulations of the responsible European association Uefa, "CR7" must present a negative test result up to 24 hours before kick-off in order to be eligible for use.
