Two positive corona cases at a racing team within seven days automatically lead to the exclusion of a team from the Tour de France. This is reported by the sports daily "L'Equipe" and the AFP news agency, citing official sources. A team includes not only the eight drivers, but also team officials and supervisors.

The teams will be tested for the coronavirus twice before the tour and on the two rest days. This could lead to unpleasant surprises, especially on the rest days. Spectators are allowed on the tour, although there are restrictions. The tour organizer is promoting the general wearing of masks and a distance of two meters from the drivers. Autographs or selfies should be avoided.
