The famous swimwear edition of "Sports Illustrated" celebrates a premiere with Kate Bock, Jasmine Sanders and Olivia Culpo.
The cover of this year's swimwear edition of "Sports Illustrated" trumps with real woman power. Three beauties were invited to the shoot in Bali: Canadian Kate Bock (27), German-American Jasmine Sanders (29) and American Olivia Culpo (28, "I Feel Pretty"). The latter has not only made a name for herself as a former Miss USA and Miss Universe, but is now increasingly appearing as an actress.
The three women were photographed in November last year by photographer Yu Tsai. What makes the beauties special? They are "inherently unique," says MJ Day, editor-in-chief of the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit". Nevertheless, there would be a certain bond between the women, "in terms of their ambitions, goals and what they stand for".
Magazine celebrates its premiere
It is not new that the famous swimwear magazine has several models on the cover at once. In 2014, on the 50th anniversary of the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit", Chrissy Teigen (34), Nina Agdal (28) and Lily Aldridge (34) posed together in crystal clear water. Nevertheless, this year's issue is a special feature. In addition to the group cover, each of the three models has also been given their own. "This is a premiere for the brand," says the magazine's official website. "A dream. Three women. Four covers."
Models celebrate dream come true
On her Instagram page, Bock confirmed that the cover shoot really made her dream come true. It was presented by the magazine as "Rookie of the Year" in 2013 and has meanwhile made it to the top. She is visibly happy dancing with her new booklet in her living room.
Sanders and Culpo are equally grateful, delighted and proud. The latter wrote on Instagram on her single cover: "I'm really speechless and it still doesn't feel real. I'm so thankful for every experience I had with my 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit' family. It was me an honor to be surrounded by so many amazing and strong women. " Meanwhile, Sanders released the final group cover of the three beauties.
