In beta version, Spotify allows you to generate playlists via AI. You obviously have to be a Premium user (€10.99/month). Just enter a prompt like “relaxing music to help me during allergy season” Or “playlist that makes me feel like the main character”among the examples cited by the Swedish company, to create playlists.
The prompts can be places, animals, activities, colors or even emojis or fictional characters. The playlists are refined by entering the desired moods, artists, genres or decades. Spotify has implemented protection against offensive messages.
At the moment, this AI-powered feature is only available in the UK and Australia in a beta limited to a few users. We imagine that if successful, all Premium subscribers will benefit.
