Spotifythe famous music streaming service to more than 400 million active users, is now natively compatible with Windows ARM PCs.

While Spotify Stations has bowed out of the App Store and the Google Play Store, here is some good news that will delight Spotify customers, and more particularly those who use the application from a Windows PC under ARM architecture.

Spotify goes native with Windows ARM PCs

If you have a Windows ARM computer, and you are a regular Spotify user, then you probably know that the app was still not optimized. Indeed, resorting to the standard application via emulation, as was the case until now, will never be worth an application designed to operate natively.

Well rest assured, Spotify is correcting the situation. The Swedish company has indeed just released a native Windows desktop client on ARM, in a beta version, resulting in a performance increase. This is accessible to everyone for download. If you usually use the standard Spotify client, remember to uninstall it from your PC before installing.

Spotify still wants to warn us that a problem is currently known with this version: ” Some episodes of video podcasts cannot be played and trying to do so results in an error message about updating Spotify client version. There is a workaround for those of you who want to read this content, but also want to test the beta and help us improve it. Just go to the “Share in menu” option, copy the web link and paste it in your browser to watch it in the web player instead “.

So you have been warned. Note also that it is quite likely that the application will be faced with various bugs that have not yet been detected.
