(CercleFinance.com) – Spotify announced on Monday that it had increased the prices of its subscriptions in the United States in order to meet the investments made in content production and in improving the user experience.
The first premium plan, called ‘personal’, will increase from $10.99 to $11.99 per month, while the ‘duo’ plan will now be billed at $16.99 and the family plan at $19.99.
The student plan will cost $5.99.
These changes will be effective from July.
Following this announcement, Spotify shares listed on the New York Stock Exchange rose 4.5% on Monday morning.
