Finally, spring is here! The sun is fighting for its place, the world is becoming greener again – and we too are waking up from hibernation. These rituals help us get in the mood for the new season.

Each new season has its own magic, but spring is especially synonymous with new beginnings. After the cold winter, in which nature allowed itself a well-deserved break, everything is starting to bloom, sprout and grow again. And we slowly peel ourselves out of our hibernation position with a blanket on the couch and are ready for the first rays of sunshine.

The perfect time for an extensive spring cleaning to welcome the new season and prepare ourselves and our surroundings for the warmer days! Maybe you want to welcome spring this year with these rituals?

These 4 rituals will help you with spring cleaning for body, mind and soul

1. Spring cleaning for your mind

In which area would you like to start over? Where would you like to turn your wishes into reality? Now is the best time to think about it – and to start tackling your goals. So it’s best to take some time to think about what your dream life should look like. Write it down and keep visualizing it as reality.

What is your life like with this change? How does the new situation feel? What are you allowed to let go of? Create a plan with concrete measures that will bring you closer to your goal. Important: You must firmly believe that what you set your mind to will happen.

You can also use the spring energy to meditate. As you meditate, keep visualizing what your life will be like once you have fulfilled your goals and desires.

2. Spring cleaning for the body

Our body is also looking forward to a little more attention with the beginning of the warmer season. If we were more in a bit of a snooze mode in winter and devoted less time to personal hygiene, we can now treat ourselves to extensive spring cleaning. How about a sea salt bath? This has a particularly cleansing and detoxifying effect. But also essential oils such as peppermint offer themselves. Mint has a stimulating effect and gives you power for spring.

3. Spring cleaning your environment I

Now that your body and mind are prepared, you could move on to your surroundings. There is hardly a better time to declutter properly and give your apartment a thorough cleaning session room by room.

What do you no longer need? Sort out piece by piece and see if you can still sell or donate clothes, books, etc. And after you feel a bit lighter, you can take a cleaning day. In addition to the norms such as cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming and the like, you could empty all the kitchen cupboards and wipe them thoroughly. Or once again free the top of your cupboards and shelves from dust.

4. Spring cleaning your environment II

To purify your environment, you could also go one step further and expel negative energies with an incense ritual. The classic is white sage to detoxify. But mint, frankincense or angelica root are also perfect for renewing the energy in your four walls and ringing in the new season. First you smoke in all rooms and corners so that the smoke can absorb the bad energies. Then you ventilate extensively so that all the old stuff that you no longer need can be pulled out with the smoke. Attention: If necessary, be careful with the smoke detectors in your apartment. Depending on the smoke intensity, they can otherwise trigger a false alarm.

Welcome spring! Nice that you’re back.
