Square Enix announces The DioField Chronicle, a new tactical role-playing game

Announced for this year on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and Steam, The DioField Chronicle is set in a rather classic medieval fantasy genre with geopolitical conflicts between different houses and nations. In peace for 200 years, the kingdom of Alletain actually has many deposits of Jade, a highly sought-after ingredient in magic and sorcery, which explains the interest of the Empire and the Alliance for this island. Players will have to manage a group of elite mercenaries called the Blue Fox. Far from the 2D-HD style of Triangle Strategy, this 3D title tries to stand out with environments in the form of dioramas.

The so-called Real-Time Tactical Battle combat system opts, as its name suggests, for real-time strategy. The realization of the modest Lancarse studio (Monark) will not necessarily be the strong point of the game, but we can at least count on the paw of Isamu Kamikokuryo for the illustrations and on the music composed by Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell, tandem recognized for his work on the series Game Of Thrones and Westworld but also New World at Amazon Games.

The DioField Chronicle will be localized in French with the choice between Japanese and English voices. You can familiarize yourself with the game’s world and characters on its official website.
