Square Enix registers the Symbiogenesis brand, a clue for a return of Parasite Eve?

Parasite Eve, here is a name that we have not heard for quite a few years. The latest game, The 3rd Birthday, now dates back more than a decade and no one really had any hope of seeing the series return to the front of the stage after such a long absence. However, a trademark registration of Square-Enix comes to rekindle the flame around the license somewhat, even if everything remains only at the stage of theory for the moment.

The saga finally back?

Gematsu may have noticed that the Japanese publisher had registered the trademark ” Symbiogenesis » (Symbiogenesis in good French) in Japan on October 13th. A name which, at first glance, does not evoke much if you do not have the soul of a scientist, but which would refer to the merger of two organisms.

A very particular term that immediately made fans of the license wink Parasite Eve, as it could be linked to the universe of the series. And then there are not many other licenses at Square Enix that could have a link with this name. Of course, nothing is confirmed yet and we will wait to find out what it really is before saying that the series is back, but we cross our fingers.

We recently devoted a full article to you on the reasons why we would like to see a return of Parasite Eve.
