Propelled into the spotlight following a report by Le Parisien, the owners of the squatted house in Essonne are in fact well known to justice, as revealed by RTL on Tuesday June 14, 2022.
Elodie and Laurent have regularly found themselves in the headlines for the past few days. It all started with the release of a very touching testimony about their squatted house in The Parisian. As a reminder, the couple had been invited by Cyril Hanouna on the set of Do not touch My TV, to discuss the purchase of their home in Ollainville in Essonne. According to the owners, this house was already occupied by a family. Subsequently, the significant media resonance encountered by the testimony of Laurent and Elodie had made it possible to quickly dislodge the squatters from their homes.
However, the couple would never have had the keys to this building. In fact, according to The Parisianthey would have bought the pavilion knowing of the presence of a family between the walls, allowing them to acquire this property for a derisory price. On his side, BFM TVspecifies that the couple would have admitted that he had lied. “They bought a house that they knew was illegally occupied by a family. But they had a hard time admitting that they were aware of the presence of these squatters especially to our teams, their story on this subject was a little vague”said a journalist from the info channel directed by Marc-Olivier Fogiel.
Squatted house in Essonne: the owners placed under judicial control
While the case seemed to be over, a new twist took place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. That day, RTL revealed that the couple were actually known to Justice. Concretely, Elodie and Laurent have been indicted since October 2021 for “drug trafficking, illicit possession of category B and C weapons and participation in a criminal association with a view to the preparation of an offense“, while currently being placed under judicial supervision.
Another video highlights the gray areas around the acquisition of this house. “This is the first time I’ve made a sale without handing over keys. (…) Why isn’t there? The property was already occupied in this case. We will have to make the people who are inside leave, recover the property and redo all the keys“, indicated a woman filmed alongside Laurent. Back on the set of TPMP to explain, the latter suffered the wrath of the columnist Raymond Aabou.
