“Squid Game: The Challenge” is getting an official extension from Netflix before the game show’s grand finale. And not only is the announcement of the second season here, you can also apply for the new episodes right away.
Netflix is calling for casting for “Squid Game: The Challenge” Season 2
You can apply directly for the new episodes at squidgamecasting.com. There is a US casting, a UK casting and a global casting. The latter is then an option for everyone who does not come from the USA or Great Britain.
Squid Game – The Challenge: When does the second season start?
A start date is not yet known as casting for the show has just begun. If we look at Netflix’s other successful reality formats such as “The Circle”, we notice that the streaming service has started releasing two seasons per year. There would be an argument for an earlier start date.
Since 456 candidates have to be cast for “Squid Game: The Challenge,” pre-production could take significantly more time than other reality formats. Given the high prize money, we don’t assume that we can expect several seasons a year, which is why we expect it to start in autumn/winter 2024.

“Squid Game: The Challenge” is based on the surprise hit “Squid Game”, a South Korean Netflix series in which we watch the participants of a deadly game show where they can win 45.6 billion won in prize money corresponds to around 33 million euros.
