Boy surprises Princess Kate with backflip

As part of St. David’s Day, William and Kate attended a parade. A boy did a backflip in front of the princess.
Today, March 1st, is the Welsh national holiday of St. David’s Day. Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41) attended a parade as part of the holiday at Combermere Barracks in Windsor, after all, the eldest son of King Charles III. (74) Colonel in the Welsh Guards since December and following the accession of his father, the Prince of Wales.
The palace shares some impressions of the event on Instagram and wishes a happy St. David’s Day to all who celebrate the holiday. The pictures show, among other things, the two royals in conversation with the soldiers present and William giving a speech. Both appear to be beaming with joy on the recordings. “Honored and delighted to be the new Colonel in the Welsh Guards and to join friends, family and loved ones in the St David’s Day Parade at Combermere Barracks at lunchtime,” the Instagram read.
All eyes on Princess Kate – and a boy
As usual, Princess Kate drew everyone’s attention at the event. She wore a scarlet Alexander McQueen coat and black fascinator. During the event, Kate also met several children, according to British media. Pictures from the event include a boy doing a backflip in front of Kate. According to the British “Daily Mail” applauded the clearly cheerful Kate and reportedly told the boy that she was “super impressed” with him.
At the end of December 2022, the palace announced that three members of the royal family would be given new colonel roles (equivalent to the German colonel rank). While Prince William became Colonel in the Welsh Guards, Kate has been Colonel in the Irish Guards ever since. King Consort Camilla (75) has been appointed Colonel in the Grenadier Guards. Camilla replaces the disgraced Prince Andrew (63), Kate takes over from her husband William, who in turn follows his father.
