Stadler Rail appoints Lucius Gerig as Head of Division Switzerland

tsf. The Swiss business of the rail vehicle manufacturer Stadler Rail gets a new boss. As the company announced on Monday, Lucius Gerig will become the new head of the Switzerland Division on January 1, 2023 and will also be a member of the Executive Board. He is taking the place of Markus Bernsteiner, who was appointed new CEO at the end of August. Bernsteiner will also take up his new post at the beginning of 2023. The previous head of the company, Peter Spuhler, will then concentrate on the office of chairman of the board of directors.

According to the announcement, Lucius Gerig has been with Stadler since 2014. Since December 2020 he has been CFO of the Switzerland Division, which he will head in the future. This division includes the Stadler plants in Bussnang, St. Margrethen, Altenrhein, Erlen and Salt Lake City. It has a total of around 3,800 employees.
